For my media product I want to create a music video for an unsigned artist, alongside a digipak for the song/music video release and a magazine advertisement for the digipak. In order to create a music video that will not only appeal to the target audience of the tracks genre but will also reflect the songs themes, moods and ideas; I will perform a range of primary and secondary research methods in order to collect conventions of existing music videos with the same music genre to make each of the three media products appeals to my target audience both through its aesthetics and its function.
I would like to create the three of my media products for an artist that produces acoustic, indie/folk music as it is a genre I am interested in and I think there would be a larger range of possibilities for the music video compared to other music genres.
